A VERY ROYAL CHRISTMAS

For the 2022 festive period, Sarah-Jane compiled a marketing campaign entitled 'A Very Royal Christmas,' a nod to to the royal heritage of Royal Tunbridge Wells.
The elements comprised of two months of adverts running across print and online media, influencer marketing, social media content, video Christmas advert and 50k copies of a 56 page Christmas shopping gift guide.

As Chief Exec of the Business Improvement District, Sarah-Jane was responsible for installing the Christmas lights scheme for Royal Tunbridge Wells town centre. For 2022, she added extra elements to the scheme, providing an elegant display for visitors and residents, and commissioned a local artist to create artworks of the schemes for
promotional use.
Sarah-Jane was instrumental in adding Christmas lights to new areas of the town centre such as The Pantiles, ChapelPlace and Camden Road.

For the third year, Sarah-Jane continued a popular project from RTW Together which sees free Christmas door bows supplied to businesses across the town centre.All wrapped up for the golden quarter, more than 80 central businesses booked their decorative gift for 2022. Whilst bows come at no cost to the recipient, voluntary donations were collected for town centre children's charity, Tree of Hope.
ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS COLOURING BOOK

At the RTW Together Business Improvement District, Sarah-Jane created the first Royal Tunbridge Wells colouring book, as part of its inaugural Art Week event.
Featuring familiar scenes from across the town centre, local illustrators were commissioned for the project, featuring talent from Royal Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks. The 40 page professionally produced book was completely free to pick up around the town centre, with enthusiastic artists able to scribble their way to success with a colouring competition, completing a page in the book to win £100 hampers of art goodies from either Rymans or M. Saltmarsh. Sue Luck cast her expert eye over the entries as judge, as proprietor of M. Saltmarsh, the oldest art shop in England.
FREE EMERGENCY FIRST AID COURSES

As part of the RTW Together Business Improvement District, Sarah-Jane offered town centre businesses the chance to save money on saving a life with a series of free Emergency First Aid at Work training days. The training is professionally delivered and includes certification for those taking part.
The Highfield Level 3 Award meets the HSE requirements for training emergency first aiders, and is usually worth £95 per attendee. The syllabus covers aspects such as unconscious casualties, CPR, choking, bleeding, shock and more minor injuries.
LOVE TUNBRIDGE WELLS SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

In the run up to Valentine's Day 2021, Sarah-Jane created social media content around branded love themed props, photographing local town centre businesses and asking them what they love about their town, releasing one every day for 14 days.

In 2021, Sarah-Jane continued a popular project from RTW Together which sees free Christmas door bows supplied to businesses across the town centre.Whilst the door bows were supplied for free, donations were collected for the Once Upon a Wish Goodwill Bill, created for children in crisis.

To mark the New Year, Sarah-Jane implemented a '22 of 2022' social media campaign for Royal Tunbridge Wells Together, photographing 22 businesses represented by the Business Improvement District and posted one daily.

AUTUMNAL REMEMBRANCE INSTALLATION

The RTW Together Business Improvement District counted down to the period of Remembrance for 2021 with a large-scale display in Royal Tunbridge Wells town centre. The BID dressed the clock tower in Calverley Precinct in a striking collection of artificial poppies and autumnal foliage, cascading down the legs and onto the base of the landmark. To support the installation, several event days of activity were delivered, including live music from vintage singers and living statues paying homage to members of the Armed Forces.
FREE SELF DEFENCE CLASSES

In Royal Tunbridge Wells, Sarah-Jane began an initiative to offer free one hour professional self defence classed to town centre workers.Instructed by Surge Self Defence, the session covered topics and physical elements such as being grabbed from behind and evading the hold, being grabbed by the wrist, escaping a chokehold, knife defence, mugging and being followed. Participants also received a free personal alarm, a worksheet of moves, and a code to access a safety app.
CHRISTMAS LAND TRAIN, MAIDSTONE TOWN CENTRE

During the 2019 festive season, Sarah-Jane arranged for a Christmas land train to visit Jubilee Square, in Maidstone town centre for a week. Children were encouraged to visit and write a letter to Father Christmas, which were then taken back to the North Pole when the train departed.
SHOPPING CENTRE REMEMBRANCE DISPLAY

In October 2021, Sarah-Jane proudly unveiled her tribute to the Armed Forces, with a towering window display at the Mall shopping centre, in Maidstone town centre, on behalf of One Maidstone.
The occasion was marked with a launch event, attended by representatives of the 36 Engineer Regiment, the Royal British Legion, veterans, the Gurkha veteran community, AeroLegends, local Councillors, business owners and the Mayor of Maidstone.
The artwork was so well received that The Mall commissioned a replica of the piece to cover an empty unit within the centre, which was utilised as a backdrop for Royal British Legion's poppy sellers that year.
